Students in Outdoor Adventures are working on their survival skills. The North Branch Area High School school grounds provides a wonderful opportunity to explore nature, learn about local plants and wildlife and develop knowledge and skills associated with the outdoors.
Currently students are in the process of collaboratively building wilderness survival shelters and learning how to make cordage from natural materials. The shelters will be evaluated on a variety of criteria from team collaboration and creativity to presentation and effectiveness to protect against the elements. Students are doing a wonderful job on their shelters and cordage while enjoying the fall weather!
