SKOL! and congratulations to Helen Pust, who took 5th place in storytelling at the MSHSL State Speech Meet Saturday at Shakopee High School! Way to go Helen!

Congratulations to Sunrise teacher Jake Harren, who was awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award through Education Minnesota Central last week!
Jake was introduced by kindergarten teacher Juli Summer, who had this to say about him:
Let me tell you about Jake Harren! First of all, he’s a Rockstar!
Jake began his career in Spring Lake Park, where he also was involved in the Union as a Building Representative.
Since being in North Branch, he has taught Intervention and 2nd Grade - he’s a “Jake” of all trades, according to his work partners! He even dresses up for the kids, most notably his “Clifford” costume!
For the NBEA he has been Treasurer. In this position, he has researched and facilitated the purchasing of computers for the Executive Board, as well as setting up a Google Suite for our union. In addition, he has organized member sweatshirts for our members. There are also rumors of presidential leadership in his future!
Jake not only shows leadership at school, but also in his community and at church. And he does all this with a one and two year old at home...
Finally, Jake is known as being “Mr. Positive” and an all around good guy.
Congratulations, Jake!
